I’m from Nevada, Iowa, where every year we celebrate Lincoln Highway Days. Someone may try to tell you that the below plan is hairbrain or unlawful, but this plan to secure due process in accordance with U.S. laws does in fact have the full blessing of President Lincoln. Criminal Charges filed against Kim Reynolds and 90+ Republican lawmakers
On March 31, 2025 a group of Iowans, including myself, filed criminal charges against Kim Reynolds and more than 90 Republican lawmakers due to violations of 18 U.S.C. § 241 “Conspiracy against rights” and 18 U.S.C. § 242 “Deprivation of rights under color of law. Both of these laws came pursuant to the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, and were specifically designed for holding corrupt government officials accountable. Other charges include 18 U.S.C. §872 Extortion by officers or employees of the United States, and 18 U.S.C. §1621 Perjury (of Oath). Even though we have an *inalienable* right to due process, many Iowans assume that the arrests will not be made — that the charges I filed will be ignored or that they’ll go unenforced. After all, Government officials seem to excel at not holding each other accountable. That’s where the Citizen’s Arrest Kits come in…

An Unprecedented Plan to Hold Public Officials Accountable and Restore Due Process Rights
As Governor, I would not be able to order Executive Branch officers to arrest members of the Legislative Branch due to separation of powers.
However, Chapter 804 of the Iowa Code authorizes private Citizens to make an arrest: historically, this is called a Citizen’s Arrest. Before we continue — just for fun — here’s a classic scene from The Andy Griffith Show, when Gomer Pyle performs a Citizen’s Arrest on Barney:
Therefore, if elected, I shall give the Defendants the opportunity to turn themselves in. If they do not, I will order the Executive Branch to protect Iowa Citizens, who may then walk into the rooms where the Legislative Assemblies take place, and peaceably make the arrests. No harassment. No excessive force. However, arrests must be made, we must restore due process rights, and we must send a clear and concise message throughout the nation: government officials are not above the law, and as long as Sondra Wilson is Governor, no one had better try to violate the rights of any Iowan!

I shall do everything in my power to see that the defendants are prosecuted. After all, it seems pretty blatant that the defendants violated the laws in question. Although they will likely try to argue “sovereign immunity”, that was a legal defense surmised by King Edward I, and I’m not sure how it found it’s way onto American shores. We’ll have to challenge that one in court and maybe ship ’em back to England if they try to use that defense!
Several of the crimes listed are felonies and call for quite a bit of prison time. I’m no tyrant, however: defendants will likely be offered plea bargains, and will be given the opportunity to step down from office due to the fact that they appear to have violated perjury of oath. If that is the case, we may need to hold special elections, which should would make getting each section of this platform passed a lot easier!
Anyone Who Doesn’t Think The People Should Not Have Due Process
Anyone public official who doesn’t think that the people whom these people harmed should have their due process rights, I want you to travel to Grinnell, stand before the grave of my Uncle Vic Wilson, and you tell the spirit of that Veteran that his niece shall not have her due process rights. If you hear those words come out of your mouth, lay your badge upon his grave and leave it there.

When public officials violate people and no one holds them accountable,
WE NEED A HERO!!!
I was an 80s kid! My heroes were He-Man and She-Ra, Gem and the Holograms, GI Joe, Captain Planet, C.O.P.S. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: basically, if I see people getting hurt — like Iowa’s corrupt legislators and Governor Reynolds have been doing to Iowans — I’m going to stand up and do what’s right. I was raised in a Christian family, and when we see wolves in sheep’s clothing calling themselves Christians, I’m going to stand up and say, “Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees!”
Quick note on my religious views, and why they would not be used to oppress people: I strongly believe in separation of church and state because I studied history, and can see there are injustices against LGBT+, justification of slavery, and other crap like that within the Bible. That said, Jesus was a boss who stood up against injustice and hung out with everybody who was good and righteous, even when they were not seen as good or righteous by the religious leaders due to old stigmas and dogmas.
Here are a couple songs about heroes from when I was younger. Everything in the 80s was “totally awesome”, and all the movies and shows made you want to go out and save the world, against all odds. Love me some Marvel superheroes mutter mutter…
Anyway, where are a couple songs from when I was younger. Good examples of songs that made you believe in yourself and want to help people no matter what it takes – even if it means running for Governor in order to have Legislators prosecuted for committing color of law crimes. I am respectfully applying for the job of Iowa’s sHero.
