Criminal Charges filed against Kim Reynolds and 90+ Republican lawmakers
On March 31, 2025 a group of Iowans, including myself, filed criminal charges against Kim Reynolds and more than 90 Republican lawmakers due to violations of 18 U.S.C. § 241 “Conspiracy against rights”, 18 U.S.C. § 242 “Deprivation of rights under color of law. Both of these laws came pursuant to the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, and were specifically designed for holding corrupt government officials accountable. Other charges include 18 U.S.C. §872 Extortion by officers or employees of the United States, and 18 U.S.C. §1621 Perjury (of Oath). Most Iowans assume that the arrests will not be made — that the charges I filed will be ignored or that they'll go unenforced. After all, Government officials seem to excel at not holding each other accountable. That's where the Citizen's Arrest Kits come in...
An Unprecedented Plan to Hold Public Officials Accountable and Restore Due Process Rights
As Governor, I would not be able to order Executive Branch officers to arrest members of the Legislative Branch to be arrested due to separation of powers.
However, Chapter 804 of the Iowa Code authorizes private Citizens to make an arrest: historically, this is called a Citizen's Arrest.
Therefore, if elected, I shall give the Defendants the opportunity to turn themselves in. If they do not, I will order the Executive Branch to protect Iowa Citizens, who may then walk into the rooms where the Legislative Assemblies take place, and peaceably make the arrests. No harassment. No excessive force. However, arrests must be made, we must restore due process rights, and we must send a clear and concise message throughout the nation: government officials are not above the law, and as long as Sondra Wilson is Governor, no one had better try to violate the rights of any Iowan!!
