🌱 End Outdated Anti-Cannabis Overreach
It’s time Iowa moves past prohibition-era misinformation and punitive policies. Cannabis was outlawed through racially charged propaganda and corporate lobbying, not science. As highlighted in the following 1999 documentary Grass, this campaign stigmatized a plant that has served humanity for thousands of years—for wellness, industry, and recreation.
I am calling for the full decriminalization and destigmatization of cannabis in Iowa. It is not comparable to dangerous substances like meth or fentanyl, and current laws unfairly target responsible users. Instead of punishment, we advocate for education, harm reduction, and freedom of choice. Let Iowans make informed decisions without the weight of outdated legislation. Lift up communities. Too many people locked up.
