State of Iowa – Iowa Rules of (Courtroom) Procedure – simplified! – there are 309 Iowa Rules of Civil Procedure, 63 Rules of Evidence, and 89 Rules of Criminal Procedure. Iowa’s judicial system has been made far too complex for the average Citizen to be able to figure out how to use. Abraham Lincoln said, “The People are the rightful masters of the courts.” How can we be the “rightful masters” when the courts have been made so complex no one can figure out how to access them? As Iowa’s Governor, I will continue to work to help make Iowa’s court system more easily accessible for non-attorneys. This is our government. This is a grassroots campaign!
