New Public Work Relief Program proposed in Iowa: “Civilian Restoration Corps.”

Modeled after the Civilian Conservation Corps. (“C.C.C.”), a program largely attributed largely with helping to dig the country out of the Great Depression during FDR’s New Deal, this new program, Civilian Restoration Corps., is an up-to-date version of the C.C.C..

As a current Honors student in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University, majoring in entrepreneurship and minoring in music, my current focus is in assembling a core team who will finish designing and developing a new work relief program for the State of Iowa called Civilian Restoration Corps.

will be modeled here in Iowa then replicated in other states.

Thousands of jobs will be created:

  • Building highly-efficient food and herbal medicine gardens throughout every town and city across Iowa, thereby guaranteeing access to the right to garden to all Iowans. C.R.C. employees will:
    1. Research the most efficient gardening techniques yet discovered,
    2. Create database entries for numerous types of herbs and garden crops, then enter them into the database that is being used to create Gardens Across Iowa! App™,
    3. Our App Developers will use the entries to finish developing the App so that it operates as intended;
    4. Business sponsors will help fund the founding of Civilian Restoration Corps. Sponsors receive in-store certificate, in-app advertising enhanced by location services, and they make special offers available exclusively through the app. Customers receive special offers once/month from each sponsor via thanking them for sponsoring Gardens Across Iowa,
    5. The App will be help our team to engineer and develop a model garden which we are seeking to have located on the Iowa State University Campus, on the northwest side of the walkway which connects Beardshear with Curtiss Hall – see Figure 1. between the Agro. Plants which require more sunlight will be located on the south side of the garden, and hoses will be automated to make the garden as hands-free as possible. Rain caches will feed into soaker hoses used for straw bail gardening,
    6. Garden will be monitored and improved until peak efficiency;
    7. Expand and Improve Iowa’s Right to Garden Act;
