People who sign up for Civilian Restoration Corps will have seven teams to choose from:
Team #1: “Gardens Across Iowa!™” –
"I'm concerned that if we don’t act now, the next generation may never know the joy of picking a raspberry from a bush or a cherry from a tree. Those are some of the simplest, most beautiful moments of childhood — but today, so much has been cut down. We’ve strayed too far from nature.
This may be our last real opportunity to correct our course. If we can unite around anything, let it be for the sake of future generations."
Team #2: “FarmHire™” –
Team #3: “Solar Solvers” – This team reduces energy costs across Iowa by installing solar panels, cool roofs, thermal curtains, and other energy-efficient upgrades on homes, rental units, businesses, and government buildings. Closely aligned with the Crop Diversity and Enrichment Act, this initiative supports renters, homeowners, and farmers alike with practical, scalable clean-energy solutions... READ MORE.
Team #4: "Road Repairers" – CRC workers will support local construction companies in repairing and rebuilding Iowa’s aging roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure. By expanding workforce capacity through CRC hiring, this team accelerates overdue improvements in rural and urban communities statewide... READ MORE.
Team #5: "Housing Helpers™" – In coordination with the Sensible Housing Act, this team will restore and modernize neglected, often out-of-state-owned apartment complexes and private homes of Iowans who can't afford needed repairs. Their mission: bring housing up to code, improve living conditions, and ensure all Iowans have access to safe, clean, affordable housing. This team will also work with sustainable design specialists to build the housing for the sustainable villages to help the homeless... READ MORE.
Team #6: "Trail Trimmers" – Focused on improving Iowa’s outdoor infrastructure, this team builds and enhances public trails, kayak and boating access points, restrooms, and recreational spaces. Their work promotes mental health, tourism, and local pride while beautifying and maintaining natural public spaces across the state... READ MORE.
Team #7: "Inventor's Guild" – This team supports inventors through grants and access to patent attorneys paid for through the state — focused on creating inventions to automate grueling, repetitive tasks historically assigned to animals, slaves, and entry-level workers. In return, inventors share royalties with the grant program and Iowa’s new publicly-owned credit union. The goal: liberate future generations from soul-crushing labor and uplift Iowa as a global hub for humanitarian invention. This is our path to help set future generations free from mundane and tedious labor historically assigned to animals, slaves, and entry-level workers. This will enable humanity to focus on things they love to do for work, instead of doing things no one wants to. The Inventor's Guild is a strong investment in Iowa's future... READ MORE.
