Sondra Wilson for Iowa Governor

Hello! My name is Sondra Wilson. I graduated from Nevada High School in Nevada, Iowa in 2000, and have a unique life story which led me to announce my candidacy on March 31, 2023 during a three-minute thesis competition at the Ankeny DMACC campus during the Upper-Midwest Regional Honors Council annual event.
The main reasons I am running include:
- I am deeply concerned about the future of my beloved home state of Iowa, and feel no other choice but to jump into the political arena to try to do something about it.
- There are several issues within my platform that I doubt will be brought into the public dialogue unless I am in the race. For example, the statewide gardening program, housing initiative, proposed improvements to Iowa’s healthcare system, and the Justice Accessibility Act need to be discussed so that Iowans have the opportunity to vote on them. I am concerned that if I don’t run, candidates will run typical campaigns, talking about vague platitudes, focusing more on fundraising than on bringing in new ideas. II suspect my platform will speak to Iowans who have felt jaded by and disappointed in politics in general.
Criminal Charges and Class Action Suit filed in Federal Court on March 31, 2025
My primary focus is protecting the rights of Iowans via Operation: Magna Carta II. Until this case is moved forward, I will not be working much on further development of the platform. On the bright side, you have a Candidate who is running for Iowa Governor who actually sticks up for the rights of Iowans instead of violating them, like Kim Reynolds did. Via Operation: Magna Carta II, we’re about to take a huge-ass spiritual baseball bat and slam it into the sides of the bank accounts of numerous persons who have been harming and violating the rights of Iowans, then slam that money into the accounts of the numerous classes of persons they have harmed! I’m not an all-talk politician: the suit has already been filed, and this is my primary focus at this time.

“Sondra Wilson for Iowa Governor” is the name of my candidate committee, as registered with the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board. Wild Willpower PAC is a political action committee. Wild Willpower PAC promotes candidates who align with our prime directive and who openly endorse Wild Willpower PAC’s campaigns. As the founder of Wild Willpower PAC, I am the only candidate currently on the website – but that is not the intent, and I am hopeful to see more candidates contact [email protected] to discuss co-endorsements and public promotion on Wild Willpower PAC’s website.

February 27, 2025 – first time ever presenting to Story County Democrats. It was difficult to squeeze so much into five minutes, but it was a start.
